Niederau- Christmas 2011

Is there any point in looking for accommodation in niederau between 26th December and 1st January 2011/12 or will everything be jammers? It's for 2 adults and 2 kids. I can get flights at good price but once I started looking at rooms I hit a wall, unless anyone can suggest some independents I can contact directly and not thru booking agent/ site. Thanks guys.

Have a look at www.booking.com where there seems to be some availability.
BUT - do check directly with the hotel as there have been reports of internet bookings not being honoured/received by hotels.
So - this website gives availability but phone or e mail to get clear confirmation.

(Have used this website myself a couple of times very succesfully but there was something in the press about people turning up to find no rooms for them, hence caution).

In response to the pm, you have expressed a weakness, and I suggest the most favourable place for Zipfer, ambience-wise, is the Bichlwirt. Skiing-wise, I would countenance against a surfeit.
