Hey, me and my friends are deciding to go on a ski trip somewhere in France from 24.12. to 31.12.
So, we need some budget ski resort, and I'm asking you for your help.
It has to have decent amount of slopes (100km+) and snow park if possible. Last time we were in Valmeinier (250€ for ski pass, acommodation and road expenses).
Please suggest :)
(ps: sry for grammar :p)

I was checking out Les 2 alpes, what do you think? 400€ for acommodation and 6day ski pass.

Hi Syth, not sure if you've booked anything yet as it's quite near! But Alpe D'Huez is a great French resort in terms of value for money. Definitely worth checking out. Josh.

Try Soldeu. Andorra is usually quite cheap

Andorra has spent quite a bit of time and money taking it's Hotels upmarket into 4* and Spa categories. Odd strategy in times of recession, but there you go )

Lots of high slopes on the glacier in L2A, so if the snow doesn't make a quick appearance you should still have enough to keep you occupied. Prices are quite reasonable in resort, when compared to other French resorts, you can certainly eat cheaply enough with plenty of pizza, pasta, texmex available. 2 or 3 decent size supermarkets too if you're self catering.
Up there for thinking, down there for skiing...

Some good deals available for Alpe D'Huez and L2A, I think. Jocrad74 is right about L2A for eating out and supermarkets. Glacier at L2A if it doesn't snow by end Dec. - I think L2A opens in about a week's time, ADH a week later. L2A was firing up the snow cannon at resort level, but it was melting. Bah.

Oh, forgot. From what I can see, Bandit is right - Andorra has gone more upmarket recently so prices have risen. Dobby
