Just looking for some advice.

Going skiing in March 10th-17th maybe the week before for our first lads ski trip, there is 11 of us.

I just am torn between Morzine or Val Thorens as there are positives and negatives for both, mainly the different in price for transfer from Geneva Airport.

Please help? thanks

No comparison in my opinion, Val Thorens wins hands down. The lift system in 3 Valleys is much better.

I agree with the above and the 3v are more snow sure at that time of year

Morzine, tree lined slopes, bars, PdS and a genuine year round life outside of skiing.

Val Thorens is a pig ugly ski factory plonked in a lunar landscape at the butt end of the 3 valleys.

Each to their own :D

I have to agree with what Bandit says, I've done both and I would choose Morzine over VT anytime for all of the reasons she states. It is also far more expensive in VT than Morzine.

I would also add that the lift system in the Porte Du Soleil is perfectly adequate, I was there for the season last year had no complaints.

I've been back to VT several times. Once was enough to Portes Du Soleil, the queues were horrendous (though Les Gets is a little gem).
VT is a great base for 3Vs, plenty of tree lined slopes in Courchevel easily assessable from VT.

Just keep an eye on the time in Courchevel as you don't want to be late for the lifts home .
We might of been going slow,it didn't feel like it at the time, but we went from la tania to Courchevel,Meribel Mottaret,VT and back with only 15 mins left for our last chair lift home .
I don't think I've ever done that much in one day before and couldn't wait to sit down with a beer at the ski lodge.
It was also the best day I've ever had on the snow :D

It'll soon be even quicker to get back as they are going to replace the old Platiers 1 & 2 bubble in Meribel valley halving the ascent time. That can be a bit of a bottleneck.
