Les Gets

Has anyone just come back from Les Gets. We go on Friday 18th and getting a bit
concerned about the conditions.

Suffering to be honest - slush by 12 and thin. There's a bit forecast over the W/E with colder weather so it won't be too bad. Avoriaz holding up OK so go over there for a few of your days. :D

This may not be the answer you want, but just had the same chat with a mate of ours who works in Avoriaz as we were thinking of popping over at the weekend (and staying in Les Gets or Morzine), and he said conditions are poor, but to be fair it is Spring skiing and sometimes to be expected this time of the season. As previous comment, head up to Avoriaz....they are due some snow towards back end of week so hopefully this will refresh what`s up there. There will always be somewhere to play, you just may have to work harder to find the best runs :)

It's looking pretty scrappy compared to how it was when we were there 3 weeks ago - and even then it was being hammered because it was half term.

If you're skiing in Les Gets stick to the bowl, the Morzine side was grim when we were there and they've not had any snow since. Or take the advice above and head to Avoriaz. Either way, have a good time!

Thanks for all your comments - not great but not a total disaster. Quite a big ski to do everyday
from Les Gets to Avoriaz but I think there may be a bus to Avoriaz and then perhaps
ski into Switzerland - maybe better there? Or maybe just lots of coffee and Vin!

yeehaa ! Orson who started post and I have now managed to change resorts - heading to Les Arcs now - they had a good top up at end of Feb and more forecast this week and weekend :)

At this moment in time, think we will end up in Les Arcs. Went a couple of years ago and loved it, so if the snow falls as promises, will be there like TJ90 on the 26th. Well done on getting resort change ~ you should have a great time...... :)
