I was reading that Méribel won a promotion to have it's ski runs photographed by a snowmobile equipped with a Google street view camera this week. It will be interesting to see the results. The individual runs will temporarily be closed while the snowmobile is working on them.
Whistler and the Vancouver 2010 Olympic slopes were already recorded in the same way, the story says. Here's the video that was with the story:

I know many people are anti street view but i think its invaluable.

Sod the street view, piste view is awesome!!! Much better than looking at a piste map if you're thinking of cisiting somewhere new :thumbup:
