Katrin - Bad Ischl (Dachstein West), Austria (470m to 1450m)

The first lift up to Katrinalm from Bad Ischl dates back to 1959, with the current lift containing 40, four seater gondola cabins built in 1978. The ascent takes 13 minutes, accessing a Kinderland children's area. The lift opens up a vertical of nearly 1000 metres and long descents of up to four kilometres (two ands a half miles) are possible. There's a good variety of terrain to enjoy.

The Austrian ski resort of Katrin - Bad Ischl is part of the Dachstein West Ski Area with access to 97 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Katrin - Bad Ischl itself (8km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Dachstein West ski resorts of Abtenau, Annaberg, Gosau, Krippenstein, Obertraun/Dachstein and Rußbach.
