The Austrian ski resort of Abtenau is part of the Dachstein West Ski Area with access to 54 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Abtenau itself (80km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Dachstein West ski resorts of Annaberg, Gosau, Katrin - Bad Ischl, Krippenstein, Obertraun/Dachstein and Rußbach.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.

Snowmaking :- Abtenau is able to augment natural snow through the use of 16 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 7 Ski Lifts of Abtenau are able to uplift 5,362 skiers / snowboarders per hour.
