The Austrian ski resort of Gosau is part of the Dachstein West Ski Area with access to 54 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Gosau itself (65 pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Dachstein West ski resorts of Abtenau, Annaberg, Katrin - Bad Ischl, Krippenstein, Obertraun/Dachstein and Rußbach.

Snowmaking :- Gosau is able to augment natural snow through the use of 35 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 10 Ski Lifts of Gosau are able to uplift 35,000 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are three airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Gosau are perfectly feasible. Salzburg Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
