Gosau

The Austrian ski resort of Gosau is part of the Dachstein West Ski Area with access to 97 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Gosau itself (65 pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Dachstein West ski resorts of Abtenau, Annaberg, Katrin - Bad Ischl, Krippenstein, Obertraun/Dachstein and Rußbach.

Snowmaking :- Gosau is able to augment natural snow, on 52km of ski runs, with 35 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 10 Ski Lifts of Gosau are able to uplift 35,000 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are four airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Gosau are perfectly feasible. Salzburg Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Snowboarding in Gosau

The Playground Snowpark at Gosau means optimum snow adventure. The fun park is located just steps from the bottom station and is provided with its own park lift to have maximum benefit.

The modern Playground Snowpark, constructed according to state-of the-arts standards of security, is a great place to develop and improve new skills and tricks. Snowmaking installations provide constant training conditions from December throughout the whole winter. The park has floodlighting for night skiing operation; “shredding” possible every Thursday between 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm. www.progressive-riding.com
