Jerzens has the largest self-contained ski area on the Hochzeiger and is close to the Pitzaler Glacier, which has one of Europe's highest, year round ski areas. Joined the local Ski 6 pass in '95 / '96.

HochZeiger

The Austrian ski resort of HochZeiger is part of the Pitztal Ski Area with access to 40 individual pistes, served by 22 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in HochZeiger itself (45km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Pitztal ski resorts of Pitztaler Gletscher and Rifflsee.

With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

Snowmaking :- HochZeiger is able to augment natural snow, on 23km of ski runs, with 22 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 9 Ski Lifts of HochZeiger are able to uplift 14,250 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There is an airport within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to HochZeiger are perfectly feasible. Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
