I have to agree with some of the other comments.

I've been to Eastern Europe for a summer holiday - even while the 'iron curtain' was still drawn.

I wouldn't go back even if the trip was free. I'd rather pay and know I was getting what I wanted - rather than hoping for the best. I don;t care how cheap the initial price seems - good snow records / accommodation / food etc does not come at a knocked down price...... Although the EURO is taking the pi55 a little.
You'll never know, unless you try...

Ditto.

The problem with Bulgaria was that it was a really cheep skiing holiday but the Bulgarians have worked out that the English are going the cuz it is cheep and put the prices up. So now it is around the same price as going somewhere else in Europe that has snow.

I mean i had a nice time in Bulgaria met some lovely skiing friends and the skiing was ok.

But i did get spike with ketamin on the the first night all my money stolen off me and a big medical bill does put me off.

Olly,
That sounds really awful! But I don't get it - why would anyone want to spike your drink? Did they do that so they could get you all doped up before they stole your money, or what?

yes was probably spiked to get money.
We got friendly this the owners of a bar there (they were English)and they say it happens quite a lot.

But the police are corrupt so they do nothing to stop it.

I don't know why there is still something i like about that place though.

If anyone does go to Bulgaria don't go in buzz bar even though that drinks are the cheep.

Doesn't sound good but you'd never get me going to South-Eastern Europe anyway. Heard too many bad reports.

Anyway the snow situation hasn't improved judging by this;

Strange how it can be so rubbish when the ITA\SWI\FRA\AUT have buckets of the stuff.

Not much more to add to previous reports - warm temperatures & a complete lack of snow means conditions are continuing to deteriorate.

The Yastrebetz chairlift was open this morning but has now shut. The two drag lifts on the nursery slopes are open with OK conditions for beginners.

The Gondola is open and accepting skiiers but we could only recommend it for the advanced / crazy skiiers (most instructors are refusing to ski down it).

Resort wide the conditions are very icy & patchy in places.
