No chance of me ever returning to Bulgaria...unless I won a freebee!!

No they can't control the weather...yet, but overall it was pretty disappointing. It isn't especially cheap, especially when you travel with a family in tow and if there is no snow - there isn't a lot to keep them entertained.

Personally, the wife and I drank a lot! but the kids got fed up with swimming in cold pools; leaving them bowling at £4 a time or air rifle shooting at £2.50 for 10 shots....ended up being REALLY not a cheap week!!

Did find a restaurant that served the most amazing food....just it took 2.5 hours to get served. Not impressive, especially when we were only one of two tables in the restaurant at the time.

I've just put it down to experience!

Onwards and upwards....and maybe another short break later in the season.

We had fabulous snow conditions when we went to Bulgaria a couple of years ago at Christmas...It was still sh*te! We won't go back there either unless it's a freebie.

Tony, what seems cheap is not always so, it has been discussed on J2ski recently about the standards found in eastern Europe, don't let it put you off skiing
just search carefully for a family resort in the alps, put it down to experience and move on 8)

I dont wish to come across as smug, but all the stories from Bulgaria confirm what I have been told by countless others, and are exactly the reason I would not take a ski holiday there under any circumstances, except maybe a freebie.
