Brought a cast iron cooking pot back from South Africa, in my hand luggage, in 1992 - still got it, never been used.

But on the skiing front the daftest purchase was a full 6 day 3 Valleys pass. In Courchevel for the week, weather closed in, only got to the top of the Saulire once....

Mind you the powder was epic!

Now I would look at the forecast before buying.
Your most scenic ski resort

Not sure how to answer this but thought I would add my two pennorth.

Scenic seems really subjective. I am not bothered by some of the resorts that other view as ugly - I find the Tignes bowl resorts of Lavachet, le Lac and Val Claret majestic, yes even the architecture!!

What does it for me are the high level views - vistas across to the horizon of white.....
Majestic peaks in the distance....
That sort of thing.

What doesn't do it for me is brownerie - that's greenerie before the grass grows

I don't really find resorts with a bit of snow above miles and miles of snow free lowlands scenic, no matter how chocolate boxie the buildings are.

Summer in the mountains is different, however!
My Lout paid child prices for boots when he was 15yo and size 13 !!
The shop people just laughed.
She's adult in my book BB
your suggestions would be appreciated!

Find the job, don't worry about resort or country.
You do need to think about your legality and rights of work which is where a UK based company could be helpful.
The only other way I am aware off is if you can fund accomodation etc. yourselves and then try to pick up casual "black" work as you go along.

What skills have you?
Languages? German, Italian, French? This may point you towards a country.
Seasonal work in ski resorts is very competitive and most young Brits going out will have sorted out work already (probably !!)

Good luck.

I would have thought that your group was big enough to look at hiring a coach for the return trip.
If it were me I would get in touch with the tourist office for some contacts of coach companies and ask for quotes.
