Ally - I really wouldn't worry - I just put down your pecadillo as the result of too many sherbets on a Friday night.
Must admit, thought it a bit near the knuckle. |

I was sent the below recently - found it quite amusing!
After having dug to a depth of 10 feet last year, French scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 200 years and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 150 years ago. Not to be outdone by the French: in the weeks that followed, American archaeologists dug to a depth of 20 feet before finding traces of copper wire. Shortly afterwards, they published an article in the New York Times saying : "American archaeologists, having found traces of 250-year-old copper wire, have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network 50 years earlier than the French." A few weeks later, 'The British Archaeological Society of Northern England' reported the following: "After digging down to a depth of 33 feet in the Skipton area of North Yorkshire in 2011, Charlie Hardcastle, a self-taught amateur archaeologist, reported that he had found absolutely f*ck all. Charlie has therefore concluded that 250 years ago, Britain had already gone wireless." |

This vid is from the Drift x170 720x480 @30fps with medium compression for you tube upload - which means it could be higher quality.
The prime video is pretty clear on a 24" screen, great at laptop size. There is a possible quality issue in that autofocus can be a bit slow so panning from close up to distance isn't instantaneous. |

I use serif movie plus - one of the up to date ones or nearly (older versions are cheaper) will do everything that final cut does for a fraction of the cost

I think the e bay one is good value and if one isn't sure about using a cam or want to have a play it would be a good start.
I have a Drift x170 which is a bullet cam but quite big. I don't notice it on my head reallt and do prefer this to a GoPro type sticking up. I do think that for amatueur play arounds quality at the high end (HD and what not) is really unimportant as most people viewing won't need the extra high definition that you are paying for. It just isn't needed. 720p gives perfectly adequate quality for most of us! |
