Well thats the main thing, feeling like you've accomplished the next step, i remember when i first started carving, it was essentially self taught, although my basic technique wasn't, but that feeling of being on right on the edge and pulled into each turn is awesome, one of the most exhilerating experiences you can have!

I am officially booked!
Val Thorens 11-19th December. 8 Days as its a 24 hour coach journey! Going with my uni and cost me £516 including whole 3 valleys lift pass, ski hire, bbq thingy one evening and a fondue evening with torchlight desent! Plus obviously travel, accom etc! Not too bad i think, however with it being a uni trip, i have a feeling spending money will be of a similar amount!! |

I'm about to book my holiday in the next couple of days. Going to go on the Uni trip to Val Thorens dec 12th-19th! Works out at less then £500 a self catering apartment inc skis and lift passes etc! Only downside is its coach travel :(
On a different note, off to Gloucester Ski Slope this afternoon with uni for some race training! :D |

For Austria i'd recommend the Salzburger Sportwelt region, in part of the Ski Amade region. Go on the Ski amade website and you'll see all about it. Maybe stay in a village such as Wagrain or possibly Alepndorf. It's close to Salzburg so the Sound of Music tour may be possible.
I expect that you will be told in a minute about niderau, its a firm favourite with many a poster on here! |
