Is Soldeu worth a visit?

Just booked to go w/c 16/01/2011. Too good a deal, IMO, to miss.

I went way back in 1995, can't wait to see how the place has changed. Back then, I was a young, carefree dude who loved beer and girls. This time, I'll be going with my 11 and 7 year old. I probably won't indulge in the beers as much this time, I think.

Found an incredible deal on their website, 4* HB in Soldeu incl. lift passes, ski hire and lessons for the kids for less than £500 p/p, going 9/1/2011. I remember paying this just for my flights and accomm in Niederau last year.

Seems too good to be true, just wondered if anyone else had any experience with them.

Chamrousse, any good?

Was supposed to be going to Schladming for the family ski hols this/next year but having just gone self employed, I need to watch the pennies..

Looking at Chamrousse, I can get there for about £500 p/p (self catering, lift passes, ski hire & ski lessons for kids). As this will be the kids' second week of skiing, I think the resort looks adequate. Being over 1700m, it'll be fairly snow sure too.

Just wondered if anyone else had been and could recant their experience.

Much appreciated y'all...

PS - if anyone needs a damn good accountant/tax advisor, drop me a line :D

Not wanting to brag but I'm always in peak condition. I run 18 miles a week, play squash twice a week and circuit training 3 times a week. I've just done Tough Guy (google it) and am doing Hellrunner (google it) in November.

So, to recap, I'm fit. :D
Is it very sad

Wickers, if you had read my post properly, you would have read that I am STARTING my own business and not SELLING.

And not all Indians run small corner shops, at least not anymore .

I'm an accountant/tax consultant and am opening my own Practice (Coopers Accountancy & Tax Advisory LLP). Maybe you should drop me a line to see if I can offer you a better service than you currently receive.

If you want sad, I'll give you really sad.

As I'm going to be starting my own business in the next couple of months, I'm not going to be able to afford a skiing holiday (heck, any kind of holiday) this winter...it'll be 2012 before I can afford to go anywhere and that's assuming I make some money!!
Would anyone recommend Schladming?

Hello guys

I've been staying off here on purpose, if anyone had noticed and was wondering :D, because I'll not be skiing again till next year but..

...looking ahead to the family ski hols come next Feb, I'm starting to shortlist some resorts. We were originally going to go back to Niederau but the spell has now been cast off and I realise there are plenty of other resorts out there. I was on the WTSS website and came across their review for Schladming. It's very highly rated. Just wondered if any of the usual suspects here had been and what their opinion of the resort was. As usual, top of the resort requirements list is family friendly resort and top notch ski schools....

Or would St Anton/St Christoph be a better choice?
