Great, I go two weeks tomorrow so, hopefully, the avalanche risk will have settled by then!

If you get to Moutiers railway or coach station, there is a bus up to La Plagne. I think it's run by Altibus.

Editor's note: after some discussion here, we decided it was Aime railway station (gare routiere) that we used and not Moutiers. Lots of info at www.altibus.com

Good luck to everyone travelling this weekend -and I say this as I look out of the window and see the snow coming down again.
Good luck mate. (But if you will play soccer, well.....) But don't give up on you skiing if you can help it.

In 2005, I was taken ill two weeks before a fortnight's trip to Fernie in Canada. I lost a lot of blood, had a quickfire operation and when I came round my first question to the surgeon was am I ok to fly and to ski? She laughed and said: no problem.

Result: great holiday as I thought it might be my last. Happily didn't turn out that way....
Mark Warner are probably the best of the 'major' companies that I've been with, but Inghams came close as well.
Both, of course, have higher brochure prices than the likes of Crystal, First Choice etc, but you get what you pay for.

I went to St Anton with MW - and it was the little things that added up to quality. I vividly remember arriving at Zurich early - fully expecting to have to wait for the Manchester, Bristol and Cardiff flights as per most operators. But MW effectively provided a private transfer as soon as we got through baggage etc and we were on the way.

Brilliant chalet, excellent food, staff good and liberal with the interpretation of free grog with dinner.
Who has the oldest skis still in use.

People have always over-estimated their ski ability; whether on long, straight skis or on modern, shaped carvers!
Did so before you posted!
And a message for any one thinking of going to Yad Moss this weekend:

For the safety and enjoyment of users we are going to have to limit numbers this weekend. So for 9th and 10th January WE WILL ONLY GUARANTEE A TICKET IF YOU ARRIVE BEFORE 11.30. After that we reserve the right to close the ticket office. Season ticket holders will not be affected.

Note the other advice at:

AND

Be aware of the road closures and potential impact of the increasing wind on drifting snow over the weekend.
