Trying to be a little bit more helpful than the  what sort of tips are you after? About the skiing or about the resort?
Bon. Allez!

Me too !
Arriving on 9th for one week. I have been before, it is an amazing ski area with plenty of variety and usually good clear weather during the days. It is made up of a number of different villages, all linked together.

Where exactly are you staying ?

I'm going to Belle Plagne on Saturday - just up the hill Bellecote.

La Plagne has plenty of long blue runs and all of the chair lifts out of Bellecote take you onto decent runs - My favourite is L'Arpette run/chairlift on the left handside (looking from Bellecote up the mountain. You can go to the left or right of Belle Plagne - going down the left hand side is a great run.

As a resort Bellecote seems to have a couple of lively bars and restaurants - the cablecar runs until midnightish also so you have the option of the 2 minute ride up to BellePlagne for a nightclub and some decent restaurants. Le Matafan is very good, but not cheap.

Each La Plagne village seems to have a Spar supermarket also and prices aren't too bad for a ski resort....
Bon. Allez!

I am considering a snowboard trip to Aime, France and would be staying at Maeva Clubhotel Plagne Saint Jacques. My problem is there is no money for a car. Do you know if public transportation is available? Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated!

Transfers are the most difficult part - the cheapest car hire I can find is with autoeurope for around £160 for the week which is what I've gone for. Taxi transfers are horrendous, and I've struggled to find coach transfers...from Chambery at least.

Public transport will depend where you are coming from, but the Bourg St Maurice train station isn't too far away - that would be where I'd look for a public transport option!See also Altibus for a connection to Bourg St Maurice, or possibly an airport....
Bon. Allez!
