No idea kansin, sorry, just don't know the area at all.
I suppose your travel arrangements would make the biggest impact?
Car = lots of flexibility whereas public transport means little.

In France there are huge sports supermarkets in the main towns down in the valleys.
For example Intersport in Albertville, near so many of the big French ski resorts, I used to shop here quite often when I lived there. Much more choice and better prices than sports shops in the resorts. Could searching for similar in Germany and Austria help?

Restaurant just under the top of the Tichot chair on the Palafour above Val Claret.
Don't ask me what it is called!!!
Excellent coffee and cakes, very good hot chocolate, delightful french lady owner/manager, clean and good toilets, wonderful sun terrace .......

Last time in Tignes was Club Med so no lunch stops and I do think that the Espace Killy is lacking in really nice up mountain restaurants.

But .....
Popping down into the villages is so easy for lunch that, unlike many resorts, this is a real option and does keep the price down considerably.

On a separate topic - my fingers are not in communication with my brain today!! Typing just not working!!!!! (and no it is not the morning after)
Ally ...
You need to produce a spreadsheet of restaurants.

Break down in categories, location, price band, suitability for lunch or late afternoon drinkies, relative scenic appeal etc etc etc.......

Now had a few minutes to look at historical data ....

End Jan, Samoens, last 5 years.
Good snow depth down to resort in all years except 2007.

2007 was an atrocious year. I was in Morzine for feb half term and nothing skiable at resort level and rain, rain, rain !!!! Pretty much everywhere was bad this year if I remember correctly.
