ski resort suggestion in Italy

Might be worth trying some of the French resorts a bit nearer - Chamonix or Morzine not interest you at all? If it is Italy you want to go to - I would say Courmayeur would be the best plan.

advise please

i agree that Mayrhofen would be a good choice. Its often thought of as a party town but the rowdy areas can easily be avoided if you are looking for a quieter, family holiday.

my countdown to this weekend was all a big waste of time!! Got to the snow gates at Glenshee today, waited 2 and a half hours until they decided that the gates/ski centre would not be opening today. They very helpfully told me that it is meant to be a really nice day tomorrow though...when i cant go!!!

when i've been in Italy, its around 4-5 Euros for a pint. Generally pretty reasonably priced for eating out etc. If you are going later on in the season - i would recommend Cervinia (and Zermatt - which is covered by the same area lift pass)

yeah - it looks like the snow conditions in the Alps is starting to get a bit better over the next few days. Lots of the good white stuff forecast for Chamonix as well
