I'm happy to get up the mountain any way necessary. Button lifts give you a sense of peace and tranquiliy for a few minutes, no-one to talk to, just take in the view.

Have you learned anything about yourself on a recent ski trip?

Hmm, I thought about this for a while. I've noticed over the last couple of years that although my skiing is improving all the time after boarding for sooooo long, I'm regressing slightly, I'm not as stupid as I used to be in my 20s that's for sure, I don't take as many risks and I 'bimble' around the mountain quite happily. Perhaps I'm just getting old, but I enjoy my skiing hugely, at my own pace, I think I appreciate it so much more now than I did when I was younger.
I took the mountains for granted when I was working seasons, which I obviously now regret, I was usually too tired/hungover to go out every day, and was a fair weather skier/boarder. So that's a good enough reason for me to go out there and do it all again :) |

You come home with absolutely no money and you feel like you need another holiday to get over the one you've just had.
