For French resorts of the Tarentaise, though, the freeze/thaw line looks quite high (3000m +) which means any precipitation will be the dredded liquid stuff.

Wonder whats going on that Geneva is so much colder than Morzine (for example)?

Not allowed to enter as I walked the dog and she is a Jack Russell x Chihuaha and, as such, it was an unauthorised activity under the terms of the competition.

It is presently looking like I will get a weeks skiing authorised through the budget committee in January next.

Due to strategic planning for 2013/14 this is most likely to be a last minute offer, and as a single skier I could end up anywhere.

Last year I got a cheap week in with a Mark Warner last minute deal in L2A which worked very, very well. A highlight of this for me was their comprehensive ski hosting. I loved the fact I didn't look at a piste map all week, which after too many years being in charge of children and novices was wonderful for me.

Who else offers this type of hosting?
More than a day or two per week?
Several groups so I can slot in at an appropriate level?
Chalet hotel preferably as a bigger place gives me more chance of finding people who will talk to me.
