Caron, I think you are right and ice should be applied in short bursts after a muscle sprain/strain. Heat is soothing after the initial swelling has gone down. I am only speaking from my own experience. I am an AS sufferer and as a result have had many a back strain/sprain. For me having hot baths (as soon as I am mobile) really does help.

I didn't do it last time and it is on my agenda for the week. What was it like for you? Thank you Ally, Bandit and Caron I will try to give a good report on my return. |

If it's muscle strain then soaking in a hot bath does wonders. I would get as many as you can in the next 24 hours along with the anti inflammatory's and plenty of rest. (In my experience Neurofen Plus are the best.)
Good luck I hope you are feeling much better tomorrow. :-) |

My OH is old enough to look after himself, obviously he isn't old enough to look after my bag, so my eyes will on my suit case and skis, and my hands will be firmly on my cabin baggage at all times which will contain my boots and as much of my skiwear as I can fit in! |

Just had a look at the weather forecast...40% chance of snow at 7am with an expected 1.2mm's and 30% chance of rain at 10am. We are due to land at 11.55 so I'm hoping all will be well. :?
Thanks Tony I intend too. I have not received your pm. :?: |
