Looking good. It definitely looks like the deals are starting to appear. I still gotta hold my nerve for another couple of weeks. There are some awesome deals to france but the 6 euros for a beer just doesn't add up for me! |

Back to the subject:
I'm holding out for a last minute deal to anywhere in the Skiwelt, Austria. Want to go 16th Jan. Last year I held out until the week before xmas before booking and got half board, 7nights in Scheffau with flights from Cardiff for £450pp. If I can get close to that again this year I might be able to afford another week in late march. When I went to Les Menuires last year our Neilsen chalet hosts told us to keep the payment reciepts for our lift passes with us because sometimes they ask to see them as well, kind of like bus inspectors.
No one ever did ask though. Steve |

If she gets too moody and tired saying things like "but these random guys on an internet forum said it was not very far so just keep walking" will only make her angry ;-) You know what I'm saying . . . right fellas! |

Glacier's retreat every summer, they're supposed to. Fresh snow in the winter builds them up again. Less snow means they're growing less in the winter than they shrink in the summer. In Val Thorens they have been putting a massive condom on Glacier du Peclet in the summer to stop it shrinking.
Every year we all fly around the world to persue our passion and we have to accept that we're contributing to the loss of our playgrounds. If only the snowdome in Tamworth wasn't so unbelievably crap! |

The only bus you'll need is the ski bus to the bottom of the lift in Soll. The Skiwelt is 300 or so connected kilometres of chocolate box beauty. It will take about a day to get from one end to the other and back.

I think the biggest factor to increased feelings of infalibility is a couple of Vin Chauds / Glüweins before the last run home. A helmet might protect against such wreckless nonsense (in my case anyway).
