If it has to be Italy the Sella Ronda would fit the bill otherwise the Portes de Soleil (Morzine sounds ideal for you) would also be excellent for what you describe.

You could try ignoring Europe. For a real beginner Baileys beach in Squaw Valley is where I wish I had learnt to ski, and there and around the rest of Tahoe are more runs for any ability of skier than you will ever be able to fit into several holidays.

Hi Tony
I stand corrected, he was pleased to land, it was the approach which was scary. Wx was 60kt wind, heavy snow, low cloud and a 180 deg turn away from a mountain that they could only see on radar. But he did say the next time he went it was sunny and calm and no trouble at all. |

My best man who is a Pilot for BA informed me that the scariest airport he ever landed at was Innsbruck.
I therefore recommend Geneva! |

Over the years I have been skiing both continents, £ for £ it is just about the same, the WEST coast of N America is twice as superior for service, lifts and snow quality than anywhere I have ever visited in Europe but it costs almost twice as much.
Where the cost difference really kicks in is that in N America nearly all accommodation is Room Only as opposed to HB or Chalet board in Europe and the lift passes are around double the price. I don't understand why anyone would visit the East Coast of N America, the snow is less consistant than Europe but nearly everything else is equivalent to the West Coast, food and lift passes are almost the same prices, the journey is around 5 hours less but is much further than almost everywhere in Europe. |

Am I the only sweaty who thinks Andy Murray is a too far up his own rectum?
Might be a touch white at the top of Cairngorm this weekend too, there you go off topic and vaguely to do with snow. I liked happy feet :o) |
