St. Johann in Tirol

Hi
I have been to St Johnann twice, although the last time was 5/6 years ago. I actually love the place, although the skiing is mostly beginners / intermediate, the runs through the trees are fantastic. There are quite a few good restaurants, great Italian, although I cant remember the name. There are two good bars, one at the bottom of the final run & an Aussie bar in town, Bunny's I think. Word of caution, it is a fairly low resort so you will have to be lucky if you are to have snow coverage at Xmas. Enjoy, if you get snow I am sure you will. Rgds Matt
Not sure about the Dry slope. Almost put my wife off going on holiday, Thankfully we did go & she has been hooked ever since.

Best boots for this prob are Head. They generally are the widest around the calf area, especially ladies boots.
The Ski Helmet Debate

For me a do feel safer with a helmet on, maybe that's foolish, maybe not. But even though i have skied for a fair while i always like to push that bit harder (in the right areas) & tend to have the odd stack. A few times a helmet has stopped me having a headache. I do think its the choice of the individual, however i fail to see any real reason why people would not want to wear one.
Ladies ski cross

I thought the men's was better viewing. Not the ladies fault but the conditions were just not great for the event. It was a bit of a joke that some couldn't even get up & over the first bump. In addition most of them were catching the top of the hills after jumps, therefore slowing them down & enabling the other women to overtake.

Not sure PSD is nearer the airport, Les Gets is only an hour from Geneva. Never been to PSD, must sat Les Gets is ok, great for Family, not so great for a Wild Weekend away.
