Can't believe I survived the snow & Ice, first day back at work, fall down stairs & end up in plaster after breaking my Navicular bone in my foot. This was last week, have to go back next week to have cast off & air boot fitted for 3 weeks, this gives me 10 days to fully recover before i go skiing. My question is has anyone had a similar problem? If so were there any issues when you skied. For the record the Doc reckons I will be ok. Cheers all...

God I should spell check before a rant :) What I meant was Yes they should also show these sports & that doesn't mean there is not a keen interest. Apologies...

What annoys me is the BBC spend a fortune on sports like Bowls, Snooker, Rugby League & even 2nd rate World Darts but hardly anything on Winter Sports. Yes they should these sports as well (rather than huge salaries to overpaid presenters) & Ok I agree we are not great at Skiing, but that doesn't mean there is a keen interest. Luckily I am fortunate to watch it on Eurosport

Hi
Not sure you can hire helmets, in addition even if you could I don't think it would be a great idea. If the helmet has been worn during an accident, therefore potentially had a bang/blow to the head the helmet would have been weak, therefore not offering the protection it was designed for, your choice but thought it was worth mentioning. On a separate note have you been Heli Skiing in Chamonix before, if not you are in for a real treat. |
