Pablo has it spot on, would never dream of buying goggles without trying with a helmet first. You could end up with them too tight, too lose, big gap so your forehead is exposed & so on.

Thanks for your reply, that hotel in fact may be perfect, only blokes going so we don't need the Ritz. Is catching a bus the norm in Chamonix, alaso how far is it from the hotel to the lifts.

Thanks to some guys on here yesterday we are heading to Chamonix in Mid March. Can anyone recommend a good hotel or chalet that can cater for 6 guys (4 Nights). Also can anyone confirm the area we need to look at when staying there, want to be central, is it just Chamonix Town? Again thanks in advance for any information/help that is given.

Wanderer, flights to Munich are a no no for the Northern Boys, also worried about snow in Mid March in Soll.

Tony, couple of points on Verbier, not sure about 2 hrs tfr, was looking at 1 1/2 max, although whats another 30 mins. The main problem is expense, I do a fair bit of traveling to both Zurich & Geneva & the costs of food & drink are a joke, i presume this will be likewise in Verbier?

Thanks Mark, thought my post would be a bit confusing, actually there are 6 of us, all between 30 & 40 years old. Bad enough sorting this every year for 6 people let alone 30 :). I will have a look at the others tomorrow, thx for your help.

Thanks all. Just on Chamonix, only concerns were there seemed to be a lot of reports about getting on a bus several times a day. All new to me, does this mean the links between certain runs are a bit disjointed? Another point is we are going in Mid March, hence i was looking at Chamonix as it looks to be snow sure.
