ok so I have just bought the helmets and now i need goggles to go with them. I found last year that our bigger style goggles seemed to press down on your nose with the pressure from the helmet and became very uncomfortable. also we bought them from aldi and they were absolutely rubbish! every single pair fogged up and hubbys goggles inside goggle layer just completely fell out. I am looking at getting a smaller type goggle so was wondering if these would be any good?

and how do i chose what colour lens to get? does it really matter about the lens colour?

With goggles you get what you pay for.

I love Oakley goggles they are the best but come with a price tag.

The lenses are different depending on what light you are going to be using them in.

if you do a quick search on this forum you will find out all you need as this has been covered a few time.

You need to take your helmet somewhere and try on goggles with the helmet. If they are incompatible it will make them very uncomfortable.

I'd bet the reason they 'pressed down' was that they didn't fit well with your helmet.

Cheap, smaller than the majority, and various colours: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Professional-Sunglasses-Anti-Glare-Detachable-Elasticated/dp/B002MTXOA0/ref=pd_sim_sg_3

No idea about quality though.

Be careful that you don't go the other way and get a gap between your helmet and the top of the goggles. They are cheaper because nobody wants to buy them (at a guess).

Pablo has it spot on, would never dream of buying goggles without trying with a helmet first. You could end up with them too tight, too lose, big gap so your forehead is exposed & so on.

You need something that is comfortable but also, in my opinion, something that will last and I always will pay extra to get something that I feel is better quality and in the case of goggles lenses that will interchange either because you scratch them (like I did last year!) or you want different lenses for different light/conditions.

Spent out on some Oakleys and have never regreted it 3 or 4 years down the line.

As has been said above try goggles with your helmet, i have a pair of Julbo googles (about £45)fit perfectly, no gap between top of the googles and the helmet, so avoiding frozen brain
