I'm off to Tignes on the 4th of April... Can't wait! On-piste prices aren't too much of a bother for me - I'm a baguette man myself.

Heck yes.
Where is/was the most inspirational view you've ever seen? |

Reminds me of a colouir I skiied after new year. The top was lovely, wide enough to turn in and with plenty of powder. The bottom, however, had formed into a chute of hard pack so narrow that you couldn't turn in it, with rocks either side. The person I was following demonstrated the best technique - straight down until it widens up again, at which point you - but my nerves got the best of me and I ended in a big pile of snow at the bottom.

Ise, my apologies. I should not post at 5 in the morning. I'll leave it at that. |

A photo from my latest excursion! |

Ise, it seems as if there's a chip on your shoulder. I don't think there was any suggestion of an obligation in Dave Mac's post, nor did he imply that those who didn't post videos were without courage. I don't think it should be a particularly contentious point that putting a video of your own technique up to public scrutiny (on the internet of all places!) requires some courage, but that's certainly not to say that those who don't are cowards! They may have all the courage in the world but no desire to share such things. I'd certainly agree that there is a not insignificant contingent of people providing plenty of useful information on here, and I hope they all continue to contribute freely. |

Thank you for all the recommendations!
I'm quite liking the look of those Prophet 90s, but I don't think I can afford them at the moment. I'm quite tempted to wait it out 'til the end of the season and see if I can steal a bargain. The stupidly weak pound isn't doing me any favours now, either. I might try and head over to Glasgow to try Ellis Brigham's demo service - that being said, the slopes there are so tiny... I'm going to Tignes in April, and IIRC there are several test centres there, so I think I'll try and check that out. |

Wow, that is impressive. Damn tasty looking, too.
On Wednesday, my flatmate and I made a lasagna big enough to fill to the brim our biggest roasting tin. Put it on the scales before shoving it in the oven, found it weighed in at 8.4kg - Even when split between the six of us, that's quite a lot of lasgna :D Included were 7 balls of mozzarella and a block of cheddar for the top, 1.8kg of mince, a packet of small onions and a bucket load of other ingredients. Doesn't really contend with yours on meat content, but on volume alone... Here she is (apologies for the camera-phone pictures):
