 Yey thanks! Reckon I should get some plus fours, a tweed jacket and a flat cap (oh, got one of those) to complete the look too 8)

Don't get too excited, the ski's on his wall are older than him and he is really old.
What would be on your list?

I wouldn't bother with all the food stuffs you're living in France ......live French .

We have to eat and everything is cheaper in England!

I can only view the situation through my eyes ....... Once a week a drive down to the nearest large town "Cluses" where you will find more or less brit prices, there will be some variation but last time I visited it was 50/50, some products cheaper others not, but you will certainly not be paying ski resort prices. I always think the quality of fresh veg looks and tastes a lot better than ours.

Absolutely, but there are some things which will always be more expensive like English tea bags and six months without a decent cuppa is uneccessary. Not for me, I don't drink tea, but I couldn't go without my marmite on toast.

Thank you for your input Ian.

If it was me I'd bring a kettle, and decent sized cups.

We have already stayed at the flat we are renting and the chalet Tim is managing... We won't need to take any household items it's all there.

I was thinking more along the lines of things I will need to buy that are cheaper in England or unavailable in France.

As some of you may be aware, I am going to do a season in Morzine. I am so excited, there are only four weeks left until we go and I have started compiling a list of things that we should take with us like Marmite, Heinz beans, tea bags etc. We are driving so we have no baggage restrictions.

If you were going for six months what would be on your list?
