What is the difference between a beginner snowboarder and a snowboard instructor?

3 days!

Admit I nicked it off the internet and only posted it as I'm hoping it's true as taking my daughter and mate next month and they're having 3 private snowboard lessons.

How did you find Rocket ski this time? It sounds like you had no gripes - was it value for money?

Back from Les Carroz - report

As I haven't been this season - yet - I haven't got anything to report - but as I've mentioned once or twice ) we're off to Samoens on 4th April. Les Carroz is one of my favorite ski areas because of the runs in the trees. We avoid eating at the restaurant at the top of the Les Carroz gondola though, as we got stung for a fortune for some baguettes and chips a few years ago.

Glad you had a good time.

I would say you should apply today for one, you may get it very quickly, ours took a couple of days to arrive.
Look at http://www.ehic.org and make up you mind if you need one - we never go abroad without ours.

Edit - I see you ask if you need them, not if you should apply, meaning you might already have them. If you have take them.

Actually I haven't really dived into it much and am trying to learn more about it. As far as skiing goes, I have tripped on it a couple times at resorts and so on and so forth. Hopefully I can get to where I would like to be and I am sure this forum is going to be a tremendous help towards that goal :)

 :?: :? = confused....

Why go at Feb Half term?
We go every Easter, Never had bad snow, very few queues and weather better for the kids.
We're off to Samoens in just over 3 weeks...been seeing everyone else go and come back several times, but it's something to look forward to.

Incidentally, it's our 4th trip with the kids to Grand Massif, worst was Feb HT...the slopes were crowded, found the place far too busy. The snow was rubbish too, but that was the bad year of 07, everywhere was the same.

I've heard it said that Italy doesn't suffer as much from the crowds in Feb tho.

Easter is late next year though.....late april!

Oh yeah, we've already discussed this....Yes Easter is really late next year....
