very perceptive of you Pavel. I was extremely disappointed with in my skiing at Easter and the desire was dampened, every time I thought of the trip I recalled each bad run instead of the good ones. I had a heavy heart. However, a week or so ago I played football and hockey for three hours pretty much non-stop and it dawned on me the next day that I'd overcome a massive physical and, more importantly, psychological hurdle without realising it. I'm now very excited again and the husband is back to rolling his eyes at me every time I mention the S word. I even wore my ski socks and jacket to a bbq last saturday :D |

I boycotted them in 2007 too, firstly because of a nightmare experience but, more importantly, because of the way they treated my handicapped mother in law.

getjim, after much research, we're off to a new hotel in Varadero. Is that where you went? Havana is a must really isn't it? |

It was the hotel in the end. Unbelievable reviews on tripadvisor, loads of activities, no swim-up bar, the beach is like Tony's picture and, most importantly, they have dinghy sailing. The better half deserves it, he's worked himself to the bone since his dad has retired and business is on the up. |

make sure you're prepared for every eventuality, Rose. You could get anything from nothing at all to petty theft to the sort of case my husband got. Put it this way - you wouldn't want to be a parent hearing the details.
