My eldest is going there with his school [yes, he's getting 3 skiing trips this season!]
enjoy
I'd be interested to hear what they are charging per head for the school trip Caron, and what board they are taking. I think you will need to give him about £700 pocket money for a week there.

travel, acomm, full board with packed lunches, ski hire, lift pass, 4 hours per day ski school (which he's not happy about!), insurance and "entertainment" - £820.
Not cheap but we're determined for him to go and shine at something he's really good at.
I'm with you

Aaaah. Skidaddle, I used to have those spider gloves (Itsy and Bitsy?), I took them everywhere with me!
Brings back memories...
now I know there are skiing apps the iphone has moved further up my birthday list
I'd rather drive north to south through London than through Rouen. Avoid it like the plague, it's a nightmare

Having spent ages looking on the net at just about every resort under the sun, I think we have almost decided on Arabba for a week in January. The reports on various threads have been really helpful so thanks to everyone who has written and posted photos. Our preferred accommodation is Chalet Brigitta so if anyone has stayed here any information would be appreciated.

My next problem is deciding where to go for a second week in March as I have such a long list of places I want to try!

congratulations on the job

our group's going to that chalet and the one attached to it in March so I'd be interested to hear all about it if you do choose to go there. I'm off to Obergurgl in Jan so maybe you should go there in March and we'll have reverse holidays :D
