Snapzzz, I've been to 1800 at new year and it didn't seem overly busy at all (apart from ski school start time on the main lifts of course). |

After my acl replacement surgery I remember feeling human after six weeks and pretty normal after 6 months. It's a long recovery unfortunately. My consultant told me not to ski for 9 months so I was on the slopes (albeit extremely tentatively) 9 months and 3 days post op  Huge amounts of physio was involved to get me there as well as some amazing support and encouragement from my fellow skiers on the slopes.
Any exercise for the quads will help, squatting, etc. Cold when swollen post workout and warmth when resting was what I was told and it worked for me (although I know there is much debate about this). That was four years ago and I've just had my first pain free ski holiday. Paracetamol and ibuprofen every four hours helped in the past. Best of luck  |

I love both resorts and I want to go back to Les Arcs one day but I think you've made the right choice. The Loop Bar at the bottom of Trolles is great for a cheap lunch and catching rays 8) Enjoy, I'm very jealous!

A quick check in to say it's going brilliantly here. May even sneak a ski in before we leave on Sunday :D

Speaking as Catholics I would like to confirm that my mum, m-i-l and I all have sparkling sinks :D |

I find Austrian people to be extremely efficient and hard working but not the most friendly. The exception to this is ski instructors so I think it'd be fair to blame it on the fact that they're always rushed off their feet.

28 of us booked for Obergurgl, 31st March 2013. We have to book this early to get a chalet to ourselves, our first choice of dates was not an option because two people had already booked in
I'm pretty sure I can wangle and early season trip too  |

I'll bear that in mind for 2014. Thanks  Nice photos |
