Hi All,

I know that airlines as other businesses are in business to make money and stay afloat in these turbulent times (cheers Gordon you wonky eyed ***t and Darling you brainless Muppet) but I read today that Ryanair will be adding up to £100 per flight if you take two bags on your flight.

Also there is a £10 online che ck in fee ,and if you have not got internet facilities to do this you will be forced to pay up to £70 to check your luggage in ,in person at the airport (depending on the number of bags etc).

This seems suicidal when you think that Easyjet are cancelling services and may have to lay off hundreds of jobs......maybe if thy treated their passengers a little better and didn't rip them off by charging extotionate rates to change flight details etc they might not have to resort to such methods.

Thieves....... There is only one way to deal with companies like Ryanair is swallow your pride and " Don't use them", my Scottish, Columbian and Mexican friend would normally comment about my grumbling about some of the prices being charged but really guys there is only one way to deal with this and that is a boycott, I have not used them since 2007 when they decided to charge me €50 on my return flighty from Milan for excess baggage, on a four day break myself and Mrs W will take one piece of hold luggage between us so instead of splitting the baggage allowance between two they told us that the one bag was over weight, so I was conned out of €50 but because of my boycott they now have lost a lot more and by the way nothing was said on outward flight... just another way they have decided to con money out of my family, so no more, since I have flown with BA and I will not use Ryanair for the foreseeable future. Power to the people.

Ryanair will always manage to stay afloat... it is one of those scenarios that unless evryone puts their hands up at the smae time and stops using them, they will always have a custom. Lets face it, if you have hand luggage only, they are still cheap. Also use a Visa Electron card to avoid the card fees.
But the costs for anything else are escalating and there are so many 'small-print' conditions (like the luggage pooling, although I think this has changed again)... still the BA price checker is quite interesting. It shows you how much money you would save (but you do have to have a very, very heavy bag).

I have just been looking at your web site so don't upset me :D :D but seriously how many of us apart from the business community travel with just hand luggage... I would say not many. There will always be hypocrites that complain I am not one of them, I would rather walk than use Ryan-air, until of course they return my €50 with a full written apology begging for my custom and offering to carry my luggage free of charge for as long as I can breath.
So if I do ever visit you which could be a possibility in the future as I have always liked the area I will be driving, good luck with the business. 8) 8)

I don't use Ryanair. However, I very much doubt that what MOL is doing is suicidal - he has an excellent track record of making right business decisions for his company, even if they seem odd to us.

I thought that it now works out cheaper if you take 2 bags of up to 15Kg each. But then some people don't read the terms and conditions that they have signed and then blame Ryanair.
I have never had a bad experience with them and fly with them regularly. Not only are they cheaper by far than other airlines who fly from London to Catalonia, but they are the only one to fly to my airport of choice - Girona,
Long may they keep flying.

I just wouldn't fly with them unless I didn't have an option.
