Perhaps we should be thinking outside of the box - If we can't have big mountains then lets dig a big hole! 1500m deep should do the trick. That just leaves the snow to sort out. We're halfway there

After my usual gaze at the Saalbach webcams this morning, I was amazed to see how quick the snow is still melting down in the village. Yesterday it was all white, today it's nearly all green again.

Just goes to show how the ground temp must still be quite warm.

Now if you could let me have that in writing... :D

Thanks Admin, It's like having my own private weather man!

This would be the least costly solution - I have both already!
Having been all reved up by Pavel's tuning class I now face a dilema. We're skiing on the Tignes glacier in three weeks time and I can't decide how to wax my skis. Normally with glacier skiing (summer) you would expect the snow to get quite wet in the afternoon. I'm starting to think that by mid November it will be pretty much cold all day. Forcasts for the top have been in the -10's lately. At the moment I have some all round wax and some ultra hard (-16 to -20) wax which I use on the dryslope. It may be that I need to get some less extreme cold wax.

Anybody any thoughts or experiences of the temperature on the Grande Motte?
Lesson 14 : Tuning the Boot

When we adjust the cuff alignment, are we aiming to make the boot match the alignment of our legs or are we trying to use the cuff to correct the alignment of our legs?

What I mean is, I'm bow legged so my ankles angle inwards from my far apart knees to my close together feet. At the moment my cuffs are aligned outwards to match the angle of my ankles. Is this correct or should the cuff be adjusted to try and straighten my bow leggedness?
