Bandit out of interest were you skiing above 2500m? Was it worse on bad weather days in periods of low pressure. |

Has anyone ever suffered from altitude sickness when skiing?
The British NHS advice is that mild Altitude sickness can occur above 2500m (8000ft) & severe above 3600m (1200ft). Given that alot of ski areas are above 2500m altitude sickness must be a pretty common problem. |

Dave is absolutely right about the Wildschonau lift pass being good VFM but if like me you choose to use the Wildshonau as a base to explore the wider area then the Kitzbhuler Alpen lift pass is better option & VFM. It all depends on where you are planning on doing your skiing & if you have your own transport.
Watching Austrian TV channel ORF [ski resorts panoramacamera] first thing in the morning can help you choose where you are going to ski. |

Take a look at the Kitzbhuler Allstar card. It covers the Wildschonau for your first two trips & the Kitsteinhorn Glacier for your last trip.

Staying in the Activ Wellnesshotel Bergreid in Lanersbach, got a very good deal on this hotel through J2Ski. Will post here on my return to let you know what the local area is like. Probably have a night out in Mayrhofen.
