Has anyone done this? How much did it cost? I've looked on the train sites but they don't have prices or schedules for next ski season yet.
Thanks |

Karen,
The drive from Geneva is no problem at all, in fact its a pleasant trip. If you have time on the way back Annecy is very pretty for lunch and a wander around. You just have to think about your car hire and thats a whole big can of worms as to which side of the airport to hire from. Geneva airport if you don't know straddles Switzerland and France. You will land in Switzerland but you can walk through customs (very very easy, they hardly ever even stop you to look at your passport) to France. I personally would only ever hire a car from the French side but lots of others would say the opposite. Either way is not too difficult. Mike |

I to like Switzerland, but it is expensive, but as the man above says you get what you pay for,but I certainly do not feel the need to sample Zermatt, I can live without that  Ian, you may not feel the need but if you went you woul realise that you should have felt the need. You can't hear about it from other people you have to see it. As you sort your trips yourself why not try a couple of days at the start or end of another trip? You don't realise it now but you are missing something by not going one time. |

Hi Caron,
I have only been to La Plagne twice but I would highly recommend Belle Plagne. Many of the buildings are right on the Piste and it is around 2000m so the snow is always good. Also it is much newer than most of the rest of La Plagne so is much prettier. From what you have said I think you will really enjoy La Plagne. Have a look at my pics from this Feb http://www.pbase.com/mike3000/montchavin |

Trencher,
Reading your posts I can't help thinking your a fan of Harold Harb? I bought his essentials book this year and it really seems to make sense but so many people seem to have a downer on him. Are you a fan? Mike |
