I will have you know I have 10 fingers, 2 thumbs, requisite number of toes - all well formed and functioning !!

My absolute favourites are Tiroler Grostl, goulash soup mit brot of course, something that isn't served over here but in the states is (not sure of the name) either soup or chilli served in a bread pot so you literally eat everything and the barbecue in the restaurant at the bottom of the madelaine lift in Val D.

Here's something that doesn't happen to me every day - one of the boys at work has just shown me his underpants, purely because it had a map of the whole 3 Valleys area on it.

Well I'm originally from Birmingham and now live in Hampshire. Fortunately I have a neutral accent (although the brummy does come back when I visit).

I don't speak like these southerners where they add 'r's into bath and path etc, but they still insist on calling me northern, when clearly I'm not.

You have to break it down into smaller quantities, for example, I have 10 sleeps to camping in the new forest at a beer festival, after that I have 19 sleeps to a music festival, after that I have 14 sleeps to a weeks camping in Devon etc.

Then there's a bit of a gap until my main August holiday and before you know it I'll be watching the webcams.

Yippeee!
