Flew into Grenoble last Saturday morning and back from there this morning. The incoming baggage is a very hi-tech system which seems to consist of a woman with a walkie talkie and a clipboard in one hand and felt tip pen in the other, which she uses to write on a whiteboard apparently random information with flight numbers and conveyor belt numbers. Since our flight didn't appear, we wandered over to a stationary belt which suddenly started up and produced all our luggage! Return this morning was chaotic and the hi-tech system this time was a piece of paper hung up by what appeared to be a clothes peg over the check-in desks. Again we were amazingly lucky as a new desk opened up suddenly and we checked in our luggage within 5 minutes of entering the airport.
Departures hall was so rammed however, we decided to wander about outside, bought a coffee and sandwich from the outside coffee bar and then went round to the arrivals hall for half an hour where there were some seats and also some loos with no-one queueing. Went back round to departures where our flight was already boarding and after a ten minute wait to get through security, we went straight onto a bus and onto the plane! Chaos but it seems to work! |

Thank you for posting this - we had forgotten all about it! We too have a copy which has just been put in the case for taking out to ADH tomorrow in case we get snowed in! There was another programme about a season in the life of chalet staff.?

Our children went with Skibound (many years ago) as part of a group of 11 and 12 year olds plus teachers and assorted parents. Always seemed to work well and very reasonably priced. Might be worth contacting them. Interski (never used them) operate in the Aosta Valley resorts. Skitopia also do school trips - under the name of TJM I think?

What does a thermal bottom look like and if one is thrown away - which recycling bin does it go in?

We have used Equity or Rocket Ski several times over the past few years and always had great holidays and good value for money. Our first ever holiday was one of those where everything that could go wrong did! However, the staff did everything they could to make amends and the guests all had a great time and it didn't stop us using the company again. Our most recent trip with them to Italy was a great holiday but the Equity/Rocket Ski rep turned out to be as useless as a chocolate teapot and unfortunately Equity/Rocket Ski when we advised them of this, were not exactly bothered! Would we use them again? Probably yes for the right deal!
Check when booking whether there is a school party booked in that week - often the bargain deals are to fill up the spaces! |

Quite agree about not caring what other people think about your dress sense on the slopes - but you will cut the price labels off won't you!!! Have a great trip.
