Now that I'm back from summer hols, I can officially start to get excited about skiing, continue to webcam watch for any snowfall, no matter how small, and spend my days wibbling on here.

How exciting! And good for you. Assuming things haven't changed over the last 20 years when I did my first season, you might find that you won't get a choice of which resort you go to, unless you go with a very specialised company in France, its always worth asking though, and as Dave M said now is the ideal time to be looking. Good luck and keep us updated!

6 sleeps til camping in Cornwall and then I will count my sleeps to ski. Need to decide what's going on yet. Not long till winter now :)

Always contemplated joining but could never justify the fee, assuming you book through the club then the fee more than covers any discount - is that a fair comment?

I quite like the idea of a perfume called 'Chemmy'. Not eau de ski socks or anything though, something nice and flowery.
