Northern Alps rain to 2000m. 2 runs - motion sickness from pants viz, sacked off early for great lunch :-).

Looks like a great course and fantastic conditions for the time of year. Also good value -will have a look for later in year.

Is a shame that French Survey maps don't highlight slopes over 30deg in the same way that Swiss ones do. Realistically though for someone just rocking up to a ski resort you need to consider FatMap as a low effort means to be informed.

If all else fails - does this look like a black, can I count to two before putting in my first turn, are there any rollers/trigger points are probably sensible questions to ask yourself.

3 days and counting - although weather doesn't look amazing.

Has been a while but loved my Salomon Shogun which I think were 99 mm under foot. Very flattering ski and surprisingly good on-piste as well. The male-female version only have different cosmetics which I think was their secret success factor for a not to heavy or aggressive skier like myself. With their new touring binding could be contender moving
forward.

Makes sense. The 350 specific location was a different magnitude to what I had expected though. Presumably this is because every face can build cornice so protecting any given slope from above would require more than one go. Am pretty sure there is someone smart on here who could take a 'Fat Map'/GIS, integrate weather data (wind speed/direction/precipitation) and build them a pretty good model on where to blast. Or could just rely on experience of above mentioned mountain lady/man.

Does look pretty nice snow and seems pretty well covered up from photos. Out of interest and in given Santa has not flown yet what skis was everyone on?

Looks like a good day and few interesting points.
1) Is annoying on a big snow day how people sit in lift line grumbling about lifts not running at their normal start time.
2) I had kind of assumed that most of Europe has shifted completely to Gazex or similar deployed from helicopter vs. control charges.
