I agree. We were given an excellent price quote for 8 sharing, but the guy made a mistake as he priced it for 12 sharing.

Thanks, but we won't be going here.

Any info, good or bad, on a March 2013 trip to Hotel Royal Ours Blanc in Alpe d'Huez for a group of 8 decent intermediate skiiers in their 40's and 50's would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

That photo of Roger looks like El Tarter just below the ski school. Did you have a good time in Soldeu/El Tarter?

You are correct, and he was stuck there for quite a while!

It was actually from 2009.

We went there the following year too and again stayed in the Nordic. We all found Grandvilara brilliant as we were all complete novices. We went to Soldeu itself last year as that made the Pas de la Casa area more accessible.

Went to Austria this year, but would happily revisit Grandvilara.

You will have to post a clip of how your invention works on a steeper gradient to gauge whether your idea is worth persuing.
Prices on the slope

The best of both worlds for me.

Each day I have 2 Mars bars (part of a 5 for £1 multipack bought at home) and a litre of water (part of a 6 litres for 2 Euros multipack bought in the local supermarket) in my backpack each day. A couple of beers (at local rate) on the slopes at lunchtime is part of the experience. We have all spent over £3 for a pint in some sh#thole of a pub in England, so why quibble over the price of a beer in gorgeous surroundings.
