there was so much great viewing, i dont know where to start!!
As a snowboarder, the snowboarding comes top of the list. Shaun White's run in the finals of the half pipe was class, but the Japanese rider was so stylish. Also have to mention that Ben Kilner from Scotland was very very close to qualifying for the finals (which is not bad for a country that doesnt have any half pipes!!). Brilliant effort. I also love ice hockey so watched loads of that. Thought the US did very well to hang in there, but Canada deserved to win it. As for the skiing, it was great to see Bode finally get an Olympic gold, think he deserves it - such an exciting ski racer to watch. The sliding centre also provided great tv, with the skeleton and bobsleigh in particular. Huge congratulations to AMy Williams, i'm sure she will get the heroes welcome when she comes back, and rightly so. |

Personally - i run about once or twice a week and do a few squats and stuff, but i reckon that the best thing is getting to the slopes here in SCotland as much as possible. If you live down south, getting to the indoor dome or dry slope a couple of times per week for a couple of months before you're holiday should stand you in good stead!

Hi
My dad has a place near Murcia and I have thought about making the trip to Sierra Nevada for some snowboarding. What is it like? And how long do you think the drive would be from Murcia (or more accurately half way between San Javier airport and Murcia)? Many thanks |

dunno mate, another decent site to check is snow-forecast.com.
From the forecasts i have seen, it looks like it is going to snow there most days this week so there is bound to be some decent freshies |

yeah, a couple of mates were up on Saturday and their pics look awesome. I have a possible trip lined up for this weekend so fingers crossed.

The conditions at Glenshee have been brilliant the last few weekends when I have been up. Having said that, I think everywhere has had excellent. Some mates were at Cairngorm on Saturday as well and the pics look great. Good website for forecast for the slopes is Winter Highland - more accurate/regularly updated than the Ski Scotland site.
Fingers crossed the conditions will be good again this weekend, I have a potential trip to Cairngorm lines up. |

also great conditions at Glenshee again yesterday. Whole place was open, with the best snow on the Sunnyside.
We spent most of the day over at the Glas Maol bowl, but tried to check out everywhere. First time I have ridden the Tiger run this season which was in good condition. |
