Katschberg??
Started by User in Austria, 3 Replies
hi, never been so couldn't comment but check out this website http://www.katschberg.at you can change the language in the top right hand corner, although there has been no snow since 17/12/07 the temps are plenty cold enough for them to manufacture if they need to, typically -6 during the day. There's a couple of webcams on there also so you can check the conditions right up til when you leave :!:

Hope you have a good time.
Smoking

sorry Jan, I also chose the last option, mainly due to the hangover though 8) hence the dark glasses. As an ex smoker (4 years this May) I have to say that the it's the smell of stale smoke that puts me off, I have always insisted upon no smoking as the wife didn't smoke, but even whilst I was smoking, the stale smell I found repulsive.

So YES, a non-smoking establishment would attract me more than a smoking one, I'd hazard a guess that most Brits would now say the same, besides, you can always lean out the window if you're desperate :!: :!:
have faith, it's coming. The order was placed a few weeks ago and delivery is expected soon. Besides, all this cold weather may help to strengthen the base and prolong the season

BAA staff strikes in January
Started by User in Ski Chatter, 14 Replies
Ok, I see your point, but, TBH I really couldn't give a rat's arse. My primary concern is the week's skiing holiday that could be delayed / ruined. If BAA want to phase out their final salary pensions scheme then so be it, they are a privatly owned company with as you say shareholders to appease.

I guess what frustrates me most is that as a country we appear to be rolling back towards union rule and an increase in the number of industrial disputes, this at a time when the economy is precariously balanced between a slowdown and a crash can not be good for the wider economy.

Fingers crossed for the inevitable round of talks after the 1st strike talks and a positive outcome.

I have already had fun hiding one walkie talkie down the back of the sofa and scaring my girlfriend with ghostly voices even when there is no one else in the room.

genius :!: :!: I'm down to Maplin's now and just wait the next time the wife is watching 'Most Haunted' (other equally useless ghost hunter type programs are available)
YES

If you don't then go to a doctors and ask him to reset the "have fun" switch inside you and try again 8)

Somehow I can't quite see Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne et al making such a skoolboy error Jan
