Do people actually layer their trousers like they do with jackets?

I always wear either thermals or a wicking layer under my trousers, if I get too hot then I just open the vents.

highly unlikely unless your going summer skiing on a glacier

thanks all, hasn't really allayed my concerns but all interesting stuff. I guess I'll have to pick up the phone to the airline for clarification.

Baggage Allowance when taking skis

For the first time we are taking skis with us having previously rented in resort, obviously we;ve paid the £whatever ski carriage that the TO charged us but on my tickets it states a weight allowance of 20 kgs. Can anyone tell me if this includes the skis or not, I had posted this on snowheads  but didn't really get a definitive answer so thought the combined knowledge and experience might save the day :!:

If the 20kgs is including skis then I may have to make some seriously harsh clothing choices, and don't even get me started on whether the wife will have to ditch the kitchen sink or the bathroom sink

great link, thanks Trencher, just what I've been looking for, although not for skiing, think I'll stick to the Oakleys after paying all that dosh for them, but will certainly be of use for the workshop. My current safety glasses must have come out of the ark :!:
