Have had my ups and downs on this site for sure, but I really miss it if I don't take a look for a while.
Don't feel too much part of the crowd at the moment as finances -husband has own business, kids at expensive ages, house move have, all meant I haven't skied since 2010 and I can't join in countdowns and current snow related convos. But I love skiing with a passion so know am around like minded people. Until recently we didn't miss a season and my kids were on skis at 4 and 5. I too enjoy taking a peek at what's being discussed and rarely miss a day. I waaay prefer this site to Facebook which I find rather inane to be honest. Keep it up folks, it's great entertainment. |

Prone to massive over exaggeration and scare mongering. Can only be the Mail. My Mum reads, love her, reads it with indignation every day -and she's off skiing in 2 weeks. Wonder if they've got her panicking. |

What else would you expect from the Daily Mail?!

That's our preferred school holiday week and we've done it many times.
Been to Puy st Vincent, Les Saisies, Samoens and Val Thorens and had great weeks at all. Ok - the snow might not be tip top unless you get a top up, but we've always had enough of a base to ski. It doesn't tend to be quite so busy as Feb half term and I like the warmer evenings to chill afte skiing. As OldAndy says problem though is booking late might be risky. It is still school holiday after all. Good luck. Dids |
