Oh blimey  is that how much it was?!

I was looking last night as we are now looking to go at the end of March and i saw a chalet on there that did either b and b or half board through Jan for £40 a night.

Typically i now cannot find it

£700 is rather a lot.

Hi ,
Try chaletsdirect.com
They have quite a few places that do short breaks, with b and b or half board.

The above is an example of one, but there are others.

Not used them myself, but worth a look.

Rather careless booking 2 apartments and not being able to go to either.

Yes, definitely and for I think longer than France has been.
Schladming in Austria is pretty wild at new year, plenty of dancing on tables.
The town was buzzing when we were there.
As we bussed to Rohrmoos for skiing I am not sure of the suitability for your requirements ski wise tho.

She's a lucky lady.

Snapzzz,
I"ve never actually stayed in Flaine, but have been to Grand Massif loads of times - we stay in Samoens, but the skiing is all linked.

The skiing in Flaine is as other will tell you, great pistes, mosly reds and blues that all come down into a large bowl which does get quite soft lower down and can get pretty busy.
Try and get the chair which goes from near the large gondola (DMC) as the queues tend to be a bit shorter.
It is very exposed at the top of Grand Platieres and sometimes the Mephisto superior and Fred are closed, due to high winds or snow having been blown off, if not they are great runs and fairly challenging.
One of the reds which I can't remember the name of is often unpisted can be fun!
Don't go off piste as there are crevasses which can be very deep. You'll spot them off the lifts.

Allow loads of time if you do Cascades as it's a bus ride to Samoens, then back up on the gondola from to Flaine. I would do it in the morning if it were me.

My favourite skiing in the GM is Les Carroz because I love skiing through the trees and it is pretty.

Hope you have a great time.
Dids.

Are you expecting therapy for your little secret?

If so not sure you'll get it on here. No one has ever been cured yet.
