Mine was a return from Niederau to Munich Flughaven,so I was picked up byFS from a layby in Woergl. This was 4/5 seasons back, so I wasn't aware of any choice, or deal.
You could also ask your hotel people who the local taxi company is, contact them, and see if they have taxis booked to return from Munich. Having said that, I would guess FS would be a better bet. They will be used to having to handle delayed flight issues. The train option is quite easy, the itinerary is well laid out. |

Dopy me, I forgot Yana, with the hotel/lady link ~ and I had a great morning skiing with her last January! She is an amazingly fit lady. You have stayed there before, so you know how customer/ski orientated they are. They cater for every standard ~ to the point of hosting the Elite Racing Ski School. They employ a couple of trainers, and an amazing bunch of people on their staff + I skied with many of them last season, including skiing down in the dark with two of them. In the event that the local snow is not so good, guests are transported to the best locally available snow. So have no fears about that. The children will be steered in the right direction. My tuppenceworth is put them into the Reds ski school. (Face Book, Ski School The Reds) This is run by Sepp Schellhorn, who I used to work for. For your friends who have not skied for a while, my TW is, they will almost certainly make good and consistent progress if they go into ski school, unless they are very good skiers ~ there is a good Sunday morning sorting process, and if they are good skiers, they will be shunted into better groups. It is certainly worth having a look at car hire from Salzburg. We are there for just over two weeks in mid Jauary, and I have booked a 9 seater minibus, (from Munich), my younger son has booked a a 5 seat estate car from Salzburg. He will easily cover his transfer costs. My passengers will save more than half what the minibus hire is costing me, and we plan to buy a big area lift pass, (Allstar), allowing us to ski in many other areas, including a visit to the Hahnemkamm. I find that pricing through Auto Europe gives a good price. (In fact I have hired for the past 12 years through them). My pm seems to have gone awol, no worries. If you have any more specific questions, fire away. Dave |

With Four seasons, you need to check the itinerary. I was dropped off in a layby, and waited for some time before a minibus appeared, ~ not a good feeling.
You may go direct to Mayrhofen, or be dropped off in Jenbach, with a subsequent pick-up, or you organise your own taxi. When I used them, the overall cost was about €20 more than the train, and took about the same journey time. |

You could go by train/bus, 3 hours, €59.
Also Four seasons do a minibus service. |

When it comes to ski school, now you mentioned a "she" gave you a response. Hence I am guessing that you are staying with Gill at the Hotel Sonschein. If so, there is a bit of a walk up to the ski centre, but right next to the road there are really good children's facilities.
If you are staying at the Hotel Austria, (with Angelica), this is a good location, just across the road into children's class. |
