DO keep up John! (Have I said that to you before???)
OK, according too aa route planner, St Anton to: Obergurgl ~ 1 hr 30min Solden ~ 1hr 15min Kuhtai ~ 1hr 8min Stubai ~ 1 hr 45 min Not an exact science, but a good indicator. And, of course, the roads will be clear! |

I am going off memory here, but in Austria, if you have booked direct with the hotel, you may have nationally controlled cancellation rights.
Here it is: Cancellation fees are as follows: No cancellation fee up to 3 months prior to arrival; 40% of the total agreed price up to 1 month prior to arrival; 70% of the total agreed price up to 1 week prior to arrival; 90% of the total agreed price in the last week prior to arrival. From this, you can limit the write off to 70% of the total. Have you checked if the hotel has a sister hotel in any of the above areas? They might allow you to switch bookings. |

Be careful of terminology M&S, Winter, Snow are three different tyres.
Not certain, but I think Winter tyres are the European norm, although in the UK I fit M&S, and they are very effective on snow, even on steeps. |

Ranch, you need to understand there is no control of snow in Scotland. If you blow snow straight up, the westerlies will have it in the next valley quicker than. And, the guy driving the blower, works in summer as a Professor of Solid State Particle Physics. |

Thank goodness! I thought I was the oldest J2skier! |

I would really like to attend the 20109 Alpine skiing world championships. I'm not concerned about the 18000 year wait, it's more the other 95 years that are of concern....
Åre have stepped up to the mark. I will follow the ladies races with interest, since there is a young lass from the Austrian team, who trains in the Niederau Race Arena, coached by a Niederau national trainer. |

We have taken our own skis, when in Colorado, although, on one trip, I bought a pair of K2s in Dillon. Would have been cheaper than hiring.
